Chinese Auction - March
The Chinese Auction event is for adults 21 years of age and older. It is customary to dress in the era being represented. Last year it was the roaring 20’s! It is a fast-paced event, and last year our tickets were sold out ahead of time, as there is a limited amount of seating. The event usually takes place at the “Sons-of -Italy” hall.
What is a Chinese Auction? - This is a combination of a silent auction with a raffle. Bidders buy tickets and use them to bid on items. The more you want the item, the more tickets you buy and put into the buckets to increase your chance to be drawn as the lucky winner. Our first prize was a stay in Hawaii and there are too many prizes to mention… There is usually a dinner offered prior to the beginning of the auction and a cash bar available during the event. It is a very fun evening event for adults!
420 Downtown Event - April
This event celebrates cannabis as a medicinal and educational event experience. It promotes the medicinal qualities of the cannabis plant and how it can be used in daily life to help support a quality of life. There are many uses that can treat aches and pains to arthritis pains and food supplements. There is live music and vendors throughout the day on Main Street in Weed.
Weed Steampunk Festival - May
This is a two-day event with the Steampunk gentry. What is Steampunk? It blends the look and technology of the 19th century with elements of science fiction. It’s an alternate reality where technological progress is based on steam rather than electricity, gas and oil. This universe is generally modern, but it uses steam as its energy source.
